From the goal
to the monitor.
The year was 2015, and my five foot eight was starting to look like a serious limit to the dream of keeping goal for Milan. With my eyes full of Guardiola's Barcelona first and Luis Enrique's later, I tried to make up for the physical shortfall by studying how Valdés, Neuer and Ter Stegen defended the space behind the line and built play from the back.
I played in almost every tier of Italian amateur football, from Serie D down to Seconda Categoria, but it was on the bench that I found my place. It started in Foppenico, at the parish club where I had first kicked a ball as a child: I gave a friend a hand almost for fun, and out of that grew a steadily stronger passion for goalkeeping coaching, which carried on once my short playing career was over.
Curiosity about the way the game keeps changing, and a passion for technology, are what drew me towards match analysis.
Alongside it grew a calling for tactical analysis, fed by the technical skills built up with drone work and video editing at Treelink Studio. After the Eccellenza season with Luciano Manara (during which, in 2025, I also earned the FIGC D Licence coaching badge), today I work as match analyst in a new and stimulating setting like the Kings League, alongside the role of goalkeeping coach in the professional youth academy of A.C. Renate.
In 2026 I took that path to Coverciano, attending the FIGC Match Analyst Course at the Technical Centre: a remarkable experience, closed on 10 March with the presentation of the thesis Da estremo difensore a primo costruttore (From last defender to first playmaker) and a final mark of 93/110. A circle that closes.
